Did I tell you that in my spare time I teach Judy Niemeyer's Quilts?  Here's a couple of my favorite that I made recently.

Who is Sandy?
Here I am in April of 2010 teaching a class on "Mastering Purse Construction".  It was at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, Colorado.  This was my 3rd year to do the demo.  You would think with all the pictures taken that there would be a good one, but this is the best of the best!
I taught again in 2011 but out of 70 pictures taken, I couldn't find one I would put on the website!   Well OK, Here's ONE!

My name is Sandy Lueth. I live in Windsor, Colorado with my golden retriever Daisy.  Windsor is a small town where everyone knows everyone.  I have two grown children and two wonderful grandsons.  My mother taught me how to sew at a very young age and I've never stopped.  When I discovered quilting, I was finished with "sewing".  And "mending", YUK! That was years ago.  I call it a passion.  Some people might think it borders on obsession, but I think that is true of all quilters.  I've been teaching quilting for fifteen years.  I've taught in Arizona, South Dakota and still teach today in Colorado.

I teach classes at the Quilters Stash in Windsor and help make shop samples.  When the shop owner asked me to make a sample of a purse, I was hooked.  After about 80 purses of that many different patterns, I developed one of my own, and then two and now three, four, and five.  AND NOW LOOK HOW MANY!   My purses were instantly a big hit. They seem to be just the right size, as well as efficient and comfortable to carry.  I think I found my niche.  I have easy to follow patterns, clear instructions, photos each step of the way and even coffee breaks!  So, be sure to check back often for additions of new purse patterns.

Daisy is a therapy dog.  We have a great time reading with children and visiting nursing homes.  In addition to driving Miss Daisy around to all of her jobs, I make pillow cases for the Pediatric ICU at Children's Hospital in Denver.  The kids and the nurses all love the bright cheerful colors instead of the sterile white.  I like to do these little things that seem to make as much of a difference to me as well as to the children.  It makes us all smile if only for a minute.  I feel very blessed to have a wonderful family and the ability to do all of the things I love.
